News

Hi Everybody:

Just a note to say “thanks” for your support and your interest in my music. Here’s a little of the latest news from my corner of the world

My collaboration with Roger Meltzer on the Capsicum label has resulted in some amazing results in Jamaica. Back in February, to celebrate Bob Marley’s birthday, Dudley Thompson, a DJ at Roots 96.1 uncovered the potential of our song, Exactly. Dudley entered the song into his weekly Saturday night “What’s the Verdict?” Show, where listeners can vote on new songs. Exactly won an unprecedented perfect score and immediately went into heavy rotation.  Mayyah Stuart’s version of our song Life’s Too Short also won in a landslide. And, our song, Just As I Am—co-written by Roger Meltzer  Natasha Redding and me—is doing very well right now in  Great Britain.

To listen to these and other songs, please tune into Jango, the Internet Radio site, where you can listen to my songs as well as songs by all kinds of artists in all styles. It’s a buffet for music lovers! The link is http://www.jango.com

I have also been busy in the studio working on a re-release of the beautiful song, Help Me Understand, from my Money in the Bank CD. I’m really pleased with the new arrangement that my producer/engineer, Marty Mellinger, and I have created. Check out the new version here on my website, and on Jango. You’ll also be able to download it on CD Baby, iTunes and other online retailers.

Another exciting project is a piano/vocal print version of my song, His Unseen Hand, co-written with my songwriting partner, Mary Dawson. It’s a very inspirational song suitable for church solos. If you are interested in acquiring a copy to perform, the music can be ordered here…or at the CQK Music website – http://shopcqk.com  Mary puts out a monthly newsletter and weekly blogs that give further updates on projects we are working on together. If you would like to be put on her mailing list, drop her an email at mary@cqkmusic.com

On the live music front, I’ll be in Cape May NJ all summer—from Tuesdays,Wednesday’s and Thursday’s…… Saturdays—at Jive, a very very happening club at 83rd and the Bay in Ocean City,Md.. Sundays I will be at Filomena’s in Deptford, NJ.  Please check my calendar for the rest of the craziness.

Would love to hear from any of my friends this summer. Email me at sscarbuck@aol.com . And…whatever you do…have a wonderful, fun and safe summer.

Lots of Love,
Sal
